"For the creation of a useful tool that supports and connects the community of translators with their clients, the Auler award goes to TurboTranslations." These very words of Artur Kurasiński preceded the outbreak of our joy at the news that we won one of the most prestigious award for startups in Poland. Aulery are awarded for "real achievements" and are a great prediction of a startup's future success. That's even more of a reason for us to be extremely happy!
As one of the 30 carefully selected startups from Central and Eastern Europe, we were invited to participate in Startup Spotlight competition organized during the How to Web conference in Bucharest. We didn't win the competition but it was a valuable experience and the advice we received from mentors from all over the world has been priceless.
During the Internet Beta 2013 conference, we had the opportunity to present our project before a really big audience for the first time.We didn't win (although we were close to winning!) but it was a very positive experience and we met some amazing people. Many of them have been our customers ever since.
Bitspiration Festival is a place where the worlds of technology, startups and music meet.It was worth showing up there just for the event's atmosphere (which is why we came back in 2014), and the chance to speak about our project on stage. We were accompanied by some great startups, and that time Cloud Your Car turned out to be the winner. We like them, so that's OK :).
